National Apprenticeship Program (NAP) is a nationwide government-initiated training program conducted in collaboration with employers to train the Maldivian youth across the country. NAP offers a combination of on-the-job training and off-the-job training (classroom or online learning) that leads to nationally recognized trade qualifications. NAP is implemented by Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment in collaboration with Maldives National Skills Development Authority.
Community Upskilling Program (CUP) is a nationwide government-initiated training program conducted in collaboration with Atoll, Island and City Councils to train the Maldivian youth across the country. CUP offers a combination of on-the-job training and off-the-job training (classroom or hands on learning) that leads to nationally recognized trade qualifications. CUP is implemented by Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment in collaboration with Maldives National Skills Development Authority.
