The program is funded by MEERY Project to provide financial support, training and technical assistance to enable tailoring businesses to upskill, start, and/or grow diverse range of clothing and tailoring services and businesses.
The Tailoring sector is an important contributor to the local economy, providing employment opportunities for many people, particularly women, many of whom work from home, using traditional sewing machines and other equipment to produce high-quality garments and other accessories.
The Small Grants Program has 100 funding slots whereby each applicant is eligible for funding up to MVR 100,000.
